Part of my Heart

November a Month to Remember

Since I started doing photography, I knew that it was never just about taking pictures or traveling. I would include a part of my heart by giving back to communities. Earlier this month Hurricane Eta moved through Central America devastating several communities. As someone from Honduras, I hear more details than the minute headllne blurb the media outlets let’s us know. I hear about the families losing their homes,, the people that no longer have jobs because their offices were destroyed, and how the communty is helping each other out.

The Heart Part of NYPM Photography

Through the end of 2020, I will have an online gallery of select images for sale in which a portion of the proceeds will go towards Proyecto Hope, and Food For The Poor, as well as helping out the people of San Manuel, Honduras. Proyecto Hope is a non profit organization based in Houston that provides food, education, and medical care for children in Honduras and Latin America. Food For The Poor helps 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America providing food, housing, clean water, healthcare, emergency relief and education. San Manuel is a small town near and dear to my heart as it was where my mother’s family was from and still a part of the community.

The images on the gallery are some of my favorites that were taken on my various walks and travels. My hope is that even if you do not purchase an image through my gallery, you look into these organizations to volunteer or donate.
