My Story…

It all started with a flight to Spain and a desire to capture memories that would live outside of phones and become printed pieces of art displayed on walls and fine art albums.

I knew I had a pretty decent camera on my phone, but I wanted to be able to come home and print my pictures. I turned the experience into an opportunity to learn a new craft, which turned into a passion.

One of my favorite things to do is travel. I have lived in Texas most of my life, and certainly do not limit my travels to this lovely state. There are many things to see and places to go, and my travels have lead me to some of my fondest memories and favorite images.

What’s in a name…

NYPM Photography is my way of keeping my mom’s legacy alive.

My mother passed away years before I picked up a camera. Her name is within my initials. I remember finding pictures of her when she was younger. My most treasured ones were the pictures before I was around, the memories of those who knew her longer than I did.

I also tend have fun with it, because growing up I often thought of my initials as New York at night.

Images are captured memories of fleeting moments…

Prints are treasured memories.

I love Christmas. What does that have anything to do with photography? Glad you asked, every year I gift myself something small. Since I started taking pictures, I have gifted myself prints of my favorite images. A tradition that I enjoy sharing with others as well.

Giving gifts are my favorite part of Christmas. My favorite gift was being able to give two photo albums to my grandmother. There is just something about holding a photo album that can be shown to those who want to remember too. The reminder of moments gone by and the gift of holding a print.

My name is Naddy and I love that I am able to tell part of someone’s story for a day.
